Alrighty...time to share a bit of my progress on the Iris Niebach doily. I decided to make this doily for my mother as a Valentine/Anniversary gift because it is just covered in hearts! As you can see I did miss Feb. 14th by a bit :-(But I have shown her the WIP and she is very pleased, and anxiously anticipating the finished piece. You can see the hearts really well (just wish I had a better camera)! I am up to the 6th out of seven rounds, but have not taken a photo yet. Perhaps I will upload tonight if I can. Well, Back to my tatting!! :-)
This year's craft show
-
I only participated in one craft show this year.
I went simple and really didn't tat anything extra.
I did tat 2 pair of Christmas tree earrings this year...

WOW--absolutely fabulous indeed! I am in love (could it be all the hearts?). Can't wait to see the finished doily. It is coming along beautifully.

It looks beautiful. Your tatting looks so lovely and even, not too tight and not too loose.

Wecome to the 25-Motif Challenge!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful start to your blog! Both the lovely Mary Konior design in your header and the gorgeous Iris Niebach doily are perfect! It's so great that Iris is again posting on her blog, and how fabulous to have a comment from her! I appreciate the link to her doily, too. Somehow I missed seeing that one!
I'll be very interested to learn about your tatting history, and how you manage to fit tatting into your very busy family life!
This is beautiful. Where can I find the pattern?
